No. 76, 30th November: Exciting news!

I'm going to be on BBC Radio 4!! This Thursday 3pm!

A couple of weekends ago I visited the Brecon Beacons to record a piece with Radio 4 about my photography, starlings and creative ways of using light (or the lack of it)! If you're interested, it's going to be aired this Thursday at 3pm as part of a programme about dark skies for the series Open Country.

This is one of the photos I took on the trip! As darkness fell, flocks of starlings flew in to roost among the reeds. I used a slow shutter speed to capture the abstract, chaotic movement of their wings as they landed.

Tune in on Thursday to find out more! If you can't catch it live, it will also be available on BBC Sounds afterwards!

Technical details: Canon 7D MKII + 100-400mm lens at 400mm; 1/40 sec at f/5.6; ISO 1250.
