No. 52, 30th October: Autumn rain

It's been a very wet few weeks (at least here in Cambridge anyway)! I don't often attempt photography in the rain - for the obvious reason that it makes the camera wet! But last week I was feeling in need of some photography, and the rain didn't seem a good enough reason to stay inside. My eye was caught by some leaves drifting slowly down a watery ditch. I loved the interference patterns made by the raindrops as they hit the water. I spent quite a long time standing by this ditch in the rain, waiting for the most beautiful leaves to drift towards me, and trying to simultaneously catch interesting patterns in the water. It was quite exciting because I never knew quite what I'd managed to capture until I looked back over my images afterwards. Thank you so much to everyone who has bought calendars and cards already! Feel free to email me if you'd like to register your interest/have any other questions.
