No. 5, 28th March: Golden wings



This photo was taken exactly a year ago today. A group of blue tits were flitting around between the trees, pecking at the newly formed buds. The twigs they hung off were so thin that they often lost their balance and had to flap their wings to regain control. I tried to position myself so that whenever this happened, the sun shone through their feathers. It took many attempts to get a photo I was pleased with!


Technical details: Canon 7D MKII + 100-400mm lens at 400mm; 1/3200 sec at f/5.6; ISO 640.
