No. 6, 29th March: Wood anemone

The wood anemones are starting to open! This is a photo I took a couple of days ago. I hadn't realised how challenging wood anemones are to photograph; they are so close to the ground that it is surprisingly difficult to find interesting backgrounds to frame them against, and I (inevitably) ended up with muddy knees and elbows. After spending a while trying to find some more dramatic compositions, I decided that I actually liked the dreamy simplicity of this photo after all.
